Police and Crime Commissioner’s public consultation launched today

The people of Essex are being urged to have their say, in the potential change in the way Essex Police and Essex County Fire & Rescue Service is governed, through a 12 week consultation that starts today (Thursday 16th February) and ends on Wednesday 10th May.

The new Policing and Crime Act 2017 offers the opportunity to transform local fire and rescue governance, enabling police and crime commissioners to become the fire and rescue authority where a strong local case is made. Operation Galileo to fight hare coursing

Essex Police have joined other police forces in Operation Galileo. This is an operation to tackle Hare Coursing across the county.

In order for this to succeed we need to know about every Hare Coursing incident, even if it has finished. Only if you tell us about these coursing incidents can we try to tackle this problem. Urgent Care review engagement briefing

North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group’s has issued a briefing report on its engagement activities in support of its urgent care review.  This review is aimed at seeking views on potential approaches relating to the future of the Walk in Centre in Colchester and the Minor Injury Units in Clacton and Harwich.  Please email [email protected] if you have any queries.
