Planning Committee and Parish Council Meetings – Thursday 5 January 2017

The monthly meetings of the Planning Committee and Parish Council will be held at 7pm and 7.30pm respectfully on Thursday 5 January 2017. Follow the links to view the agendas.

Prior to the Planning Committee meeting, an informal meeting will be held at 6pm with representatives of Strutt and Parker. At the meeting there will be a presentation of one of the housing development proposals in the Parish. Members of the public are invited to attend the meeting as observers. This is not a public meeting.

Public asked to share views on the future of minor injury units and Walk in Centre across Colchester and Tendring

Follow the link to read a press release which describes how clinicians at the North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are seeking views from local people on the future of the Minor Injury Units at Clacton and Harwich, and the Walk In Centre in Colchester.

A period of engagement will take place between 4 January and 1 March 2017.  The CCG wants to find out local views on three potential approaches which have been developed following feedback received.  They also want to hear about any other ideas people may have in providing these services in the future.  Continue reading

Help us to improve the open space in the Village – Tell us your views

The Parish Council is seeking the views of local residents on how it could potentially spend money that has been paid from previous Housing Projects in the Parish, to fund improvements in our area that will help mitigate the additional homes and people. Things such as education, healthcare, and affordable housing contributions have been paid additionally. These funds are solely to be used along the lines of benefits to do with public open space. This consultation exercise will form part of the Parish Council’s work to establish what the need is in the Parish in terms of public open space. Continue reading
