Help us to improve the open space in the Village – Tell us your views

The Parish Council is seeking the views of local residents on how it could potentially spend money that has been paid from previous Housing Projects in the Parish, to fund improvements in our area that will help mitigate the additional homes and people. Things such as education, healthcare, and affordable housing contributions have been paid additionally. These funds are solely to be used along the lines of benefits to do with public open space. This consultation exercise will form part of the Parish Council’s work to establish what the need is in the Parish in terms of public open space. Continue reading

An introduction to the work carried out by the charity Victim Support.

Set up over 40 years ago, Victim Support is the leading independent victims’ charity in England and Wales. The first Victim Support scheme was set up in Bristol in 1974, and by 1986 every county in England and Wales had at least one Victim Support scheme. It registered as a charitable company in 1987 and set up our free national telephone helpline, Supportline, in 1998.

The Essex office is based in Ingatestone and from this base we provide support to our communities through our team of managers, specialist case workers and trained volunteers. Continue reading
